Here at Heirloom Drum Co we manufacture drums made from solid wood. Known as “stave” drums, our shells have some inherent advantages over traditional ply shells. One of those advantages is simply the  method itself. Having a small fraction of glue used compared to ply shells allows the wood’s natural tone and character to be heard clearly. Here at heirloom we have a wide selection of woods that we feel can help you find the sound you’re after. All the woods used by Heirloom are FSC certified, which means that the wood is harvested from a certified well managed forest.  As for our finishes, we use a high quality modified nitrocellulose lacquer which offers the ultimate in clarity and long lasting protection. If you choose to have your snare or kit stained solid or as a burst/fade, Heirloom uses the finest custom dye stains which help accentuate the natural figure and grain without hiding it.  When it comes to the finishing touches Heirloom has a wide selection of quality lugs, hoops, and strainers to choose from.
